Kelly Randy Evans

Obituary

Kelly Randy Evans, age 62, of Monett, Missouri, passed away at 8:08 a.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at his home.  Our hearts were broken by the loss of our father, husband, papa and friend. Kelly was born August 22, 1954, to Lester and Adine (Seitz) Evans who preceded him in death, as well as his sister Lora Jean Wilson.

Randy left behind his church camp sweetheart and wife of 17 years, Sheri; two daughters, Heather Ellingsworth and her husband, Casey and Ashley Cutbirth and her husband, Matthew; two stepsons, Nick Peck and Cyle Meade; stepdaughter, Kindra Harvey and her husband, Charlie.  He loved to spend time with his seven grandchildren on the river, watching them swim in the pool, hanging out with them in his shed, to writing his special valentine poems each year. He will be forever missed by Shelby, Emrey and Abrey Ellingsworth, Matthew, Lilah and Krosby Cutbirth and Karys Harvey.

He worked 43 years with the Union Pacific railroad where he met his most cherished friends, who became his brothers.

Randy loved to spend his time floating, fishing, hunting, and visiting with friends telling stories, helping others and his most favorite of spending time with his wife and family.

His contagious smile and laugh were loved by all who knew him.  His stories and sentiment along with his tender heart are only a few of the many things we will miss and treasure the most.

Our hearts will forever be broken by his absence, for he loved us all so much as we loved him.

Randy , you meet a lot of people in a lifetime but there are only a few that can touch your soul , Randy you are one of those rare people. I was young when I first met you . I learned a lot about life from you . You were always there with that mischievous smile and you were the one that caused my butterscotch sundae addiction, a better pal a man never had , love you brother.
Sheri , Heather and Ashley I know it hurts now but in time you will look back on Randy's life and realize how blessed you were to have had him in your life .
