Obituary

Shirley Maxine Calton, age 93, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 1:40 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at the Ozarks Methodist Manor in Marionville.  She was born August 23, 1924, in Wilburton, Kansas, the daughter of Lloyd Dorwin and Eula Ann (Clevenhagen) Kelley.

Shirley was a 1943 graduate of Aurora High School.  She worked as a Certified Public Account for accounting firms in California and Missouri, and was the director of purchasing for the National Alfalfa Dehydrating and Milling Company in Kansas City, Missouri and she was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Aurora.

On October 20, 1995, she married Byron Lee Calton in Aurora.  He preceded her in death on July 25, 2009.

She is survived by her son, William Reynolds and his wife, Diane, of Hebo, Oregon; six grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Her parents, Lloyd and Eula, first husband, William Rudolph Reynolds,  second husband, Charles Denchfield, third husband, Byron Calton, sister, Virginia Wise and brother, Raymond Kelley, preceded her in death.

A graveside service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.  Friends and family may pay their respects from 9:00-5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017, at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made payable to the Southside Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
